This is the 2nd book from this series. I read first the novella to understand what will the start of the series. I loved the novella though it is short and it got me intrigued about the characters. What can I say; I am surprised I loved this book. I can't put it down just wanted to read on. I liked mystery of it. I liked pacing of the story and I loved the h/h. It has realistic trend on it but of course there will always be HEA for both of them. I liked emotions flowing from the hero. The heroine is not also bad. I liked the involvement and scandals that may come from the Hawkins family. This series reminds of Sabrina Jeffries book series "Hellions of Hallstead" with a different aspects. Nevertheless I loved the book and can't wait to know the mystery how the dowager Duchess of Trent disappeared. A real charmer. Housemaid Sarah Osborne sneaks into the Duke of Trent's heart. I was cheering for Sarah for many pages, wondering if her duke would come to his senses or let propriety rule his actions. Good plot with some surprising twists and a very satisfactory ending but the strength of the writing is in the character development of Simon Hawkins, duke of Trent. He's transformed from stiff-rumped aristocrat into loving indulgent husband material in the space of 375 pages.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was romantic and really enjoyed the characters, thanks!

This was a solid 3.75 stars for me, but I'll be generous and round up. Full review to follow.
