There's no question Jodi Lynn Anderson can write, but I can't help but feel like this one was written mostly to have closure (though if you're looking for HEAs, ha ha hahaha). I think I would have preferred this series to have been a duology. However, Murhpy, Birdie and Leeda are some of the realest, most confused characters I've ever met, which doesn't always make it fun to read about them, but I think there should be more characters/stories like those Anderson writes. Though purely out of self-preservation reasons, I'm going to pass a motion that she's never allowed to write about traces again. Oh, and p. 223 was missing in my copy (paperback), which didn't bother me too much since it was a Leeda chapter and it was rather easy to gauge what it was about, thanks to the surrounding context and the fact that this realisation had been alluded to since p. 40 (though if this no page 223 thing was intentional, I'm going to have to have some words with everyone involved with that decision because of the nature of the content and how harmful intentional erasure would be in that case). Un petit bonheur ? Retrouver Birdie, Murphy et Leeda pour un dernier été. Cette trilogie n'est sûrement pas ma préférée, mais je dois dire qu'elle me colle à la peau et qu'elle m'a offert des petits moments hors du temps dans un monde chaleureux. On retrouve le verger, les pêches, et toute cette ambiance si agréable qui fait l'intérêt des livres. Les trois héroïnes sont toujours aussi géniales, je les ai toutes aimé autant les unes que les autres. Anderson a vraiment un don pour nous faire passer un bon moment et pour nous replonger dans de longs jours d'été même en plein hiver. Une lecture qui fait du bien.
