The Chesapeake Shores series is filled with fun summer reading. This is the 5th book in the series about the O'Brien clan--a loving and supportive family. Driftwood Cottage focuses on Connor O'Brien, his significant other Heather and their toddler son Mick. While this is not my favorite of the 5 so far, I still love the story of this family. Quick, easy and entertaining read. While you could read this book without reading the other books in the series, I recommend that you start with the first one and let this family grow on you... This novel was one that I put off reading. With zero plot or action, I found that all it was, was Connor and Heather having the same argument over and over again about marriage, in all honesty I got to page 200 and put it down, I actually said " I quit!". This novel was so boring, nothing happened in it, after reading the last page I can pretty much assume what happened in the last hundred or so pages I couldn't bare to read. Typical love story, only Connor didn't want to get married so Heather left him, I'll save you some time, Sherryl goes around saying the exact same thing in different ways for most of the novel, incorporates too many characters to a point where I thought the O'Brian family was full of insest. There's too many character stories going around in this novel and it gets confusing. I found myself that when I read certain names I would just skip over the pages about them to try and find the story line. Bottom line not worth the time.
