I have never not finished a book. I sooooo wanted to give up on this one but suffered through hoping for some redeeming qualities at the end, but... No dice. Boring, flat, empty these are words to describe what I read. This was my first John Ringo book and I see that he has written tons of other stuff all of them rated pretty high (like this book) but I am not too eager to jump into any of his others. Oh well onwards and upwards. Quite an interesting and well-written tale so far. Zombie producing bite-infected virus type story. A group of survivors take it upon themselves to hunt for survivors on the sea, initially on their one boat, but expanding as they take over other boats in their hunt. Fighting infected zombies while searching for survivors becomes the norm. In book one the US Navy is contacted via small group of uninfected survivors in a nuclear submarine. The group of survivor-hunters become known as Wolf Squadron. Book two continues in developing this plot.
So I finally just gave up and read this to myself. I finished it in a day.
