The beginning was of this story was intriguing. Mark seemed to be a dark place and the inclusion of the secret admirer built onto that air of mystery. It is interesting that Sam got as much page time (more even?) than Landon. I am not sure the author is done with that character, to be honest. I liked how that plot was left wide-open.Once Mark and Landon start talking, the tone moves to a more sweet and loving one, which is ok, just I would have liked to explore Mark's kinky side a little more deeply. But I did love the boys together. It was #adorbs. This was a cute, funny and endearing, well-written story. I didn't even notice that it was a short story and I defintely was very surprised to find that the author so far has only written stories for the m/m romance group events. I had assumed she had already published more. Nothing amateurish to read here, well rounded, great believable narration and dialogues. 4,5 stars and I want Jessa Ryan to write the next story , too. You know who I mean ;) I'd defintely buy it.
What do You think about Under Pretenses (2014)?
4.5 would have enjoyed more exploration of the cross dressing theme, but still extremely enjoyable.

Cute story, but I wish there was more. And what's up with Sam? Will he get a story too?
