His Bishop and combat trainer, Zack is really surprised at his people skills.Love the ending. This has the experience of Hope's short journey "home,"I loved reading this and hearing and feeling my experience again. Do not pick up this book before going to bed – you’ll lose a lot of sleep when you can’t put it down. This was one of my favorite books of the year and I quite liked the writer’s style and humor. That being said, I think I have to be fair …….If you are not LDS, this book might confuse or irritate you. Matthew Knight does so many un-agent like things, especially in the end, that it was hard to take him seriously as an agent. I wanted him to focus more on the terrorists and act like an agent and that just wasn’t there.I also thought the cervical cancer choice was interesting and wished the author had explained how a particular girl got it. Having had cervical issues myself, I know it is a taboo topic for many girls b/c they fear of being judged, as many people believe contracting it is solely from having multiple intimate partners. I think it might have been good to clarify that is not the case; but then again, maybe those who haven’t had those issues don’t know it’s taboo, or maybe someone else with cervical cancer was blessedly spared that judgment. All in all though, it was fun to read and I found myself really enjoying the book for what it is – and it isn’t what I thought it would be. I really hope to see more fiction from Frank Holdaway. His humor was by far the best part.
What do You think about Undercover Saint (2012)?
This was great LDS fiction, although I'm not sure how realistic parts of it were. Loved the humor!
