I think this is my first Patricia MacDonald book that I have read. In this book a mother loses her daughter while her daughter is on the cruise. As the mother continues to dig deeper into her daughter's disappearance she finds distrubing facts that sets her off on a quest to find out who murdered her daughter. It is a fun murder mystery and I think I will read more MacDonald books in the future. If you enjoy a good ending to book and like the satisfying feeling when you close the book for the last time ~ forget it ~ not happening. I liked the story of a mom whose only child disappears from a cruise ship. Shelby is determined to find out what happened to her daughter. Of course we all know it was not an accident. It's wondering what really happened that kept me turning the pages. Shelby is likeable as a loyal mother and devoted grandmother and she goes non-stop trying to find the truth. The truth that comes out in the end was really disappointing, but it was still a good read.
Ok, kept my interest, but found the charcters a bit flat, the grief sort of sit-com like.
