Another winner from Cara Bristol. I think I'm becoming addicted to this genre. Who knew domestic discipline was such a turn on? A lot of people apparently. I'll admit that I had a hard time warming to Melania. She was so naive. She grew up in a home were her father was a member of the Rod and Cane Society. Granted, he didn't spank her mother in front of her but I can only imagine that the household was very old fashioned. I'm sure her mother didn't go around talking back to her father or lying to him etc.. It was hard for me to understand how she didn't know what she was getting into. It was explained that she was sheltered by her parents.I liked Jared from the beginning of the book. He obviously loved Melania very much. He explained several times what would happen if she did something wrong but she just didn't seem to grasp what he was telling her. Jared believes in this life style. It's shocking to him when he finds out she doesn't fully understand what she has literally signed up for. You can tell from the blub that he thinks they moved on but he finds out later that she was more upset at the first spanking than he realized. I won't give away what happens but it's worth it to buy it and find out. Melania grows as a person. That's all I'm going to say. I'd love to tell you more but then I'd be giving away spoilers. Oh yeah! I will say that the sex is sizzling hot. You will not be disappointed. It starts off sweet and gets hotter as the book goes on. I kind of liked that. It fit the story.These books may not be for everyone but if this kind of thing interests you then this author would be an excellent choice for you. Excellent story and series. This book made me want to read the rest of them. This is a short work and I was able to get through all of the books in this series in 1 sitting because 1. the writing is fantastic and 2. they're not super long. The theme feels a little taboo so you get that extra thrill when reading this. I really enjoyed the focus on trusting your partner in these books. Very nice.
I admit I had a few eye roll moments but it was still a good quick tease. ;0)
