I have pretty much read everything from this author and once again she does not disappoint. I loved the main male character - I found him snarky, sexy and just the right amount of broken. This author has a talented for writing about characters that makes you quickly invested in their lives - which is not an easy thing to do as a writer. I would definitely recommend this book, and for those who haven't read anything else from her check out her other books. I only wished that with every book it would come with my very own 'book boyfriend' - ;) I found this book to be really interesting and kept me entertained right the way through.Brooke is really organised, bordering on OCD with her need to maintain a timetable and has serious issues with people not having their top shirt buttons done up (seriously what’s with that?). Although she can be a bit annoying with her need to organise and plan every last detail of her life (including which date number and even time of when she will have sex) I really did like her. Deep down her need to plan is due to the fact that she believes her family is disappointed in her and that she hasn’t achieved enough in her life. Her sister has a perfect family and her brother has the perfect job. Her parents want her to meet and marry a successful man and settle down to start a family.Nate has his own serious issues going on. He is still hung up on his ex-girlfriend as he discovered she was also sleeping with his best friend. He has left his life in New York and came back to Las Vegas to work for the family wedding planning business as a photographer. He wants to get back into the dating game but is so insecure and having trouble trusting the women that enter his life.Nate and Brooke meet when Brooke comes to interview for the assistant’s job at the wedding planning business. Their first meeting doesn’t go exactly as either would have liked but when she gets the job they are thrown together working on several weddings. It is obvious that they are going to develop feelings towards each other so it is quite amusing watching how this develops, especially since Nate just loves tormenting and teasing Brooke about every little thing he can.I think my favourite part was when they were at the wedding in Tahoe and Brooke needs to go back to the suite for the bridal flowers. I was almost screaming at my iPad as I was reading this as I couldn’t believe what was happening. It was so funny and inappropriate at the same time. I felt embarrassed for Brooke! This is an easy, entertaining and funny read and really loved the switching between Nate and Brooke. The changing of POV’s flowed easily and the storyline flowed with it.
What do You think about Unexpectedly You (2013)?
