Lucas Dempsey has just lost his fiancée to his brother no less...He comes home to Anchor Island because his father had a heart attack..he offers to help to run the family restaurant/bar....while he has offered to do that, his mother asks Sid Navarro if she won't mind helping Lucas out in the afternoon hours...She is a tough girl, helps his brother Joe fix boats and is treated like one of the guys..She has a mouth on her and she's fun...She is not about to let anyone boss her around, and she makes that very clear to Lucas.....even though she has had a crush on Lucas since high school...there spending so much time together they start beating....First challenge who can get more tips?..When Sid's good friend Will tells her what she should do in order to get more tips...she's shocked at first, but she goes for it....watch out things are going to will heat up...After that things start to heat up between Sid and Lucas..one thing leads to another...see what happens..it's a really a great book...You must read Meant to Be also...It's heartwarming as this one is. The Island is small and people protect there own and watch out for each other...you feel like your part of the Island...The third book in this series is HOME TO STAY....Hope you enjoy UP TO THE CHALLENGE....This is my second book by Terri Osburn and I'm hooked... This was a sequel to "Meant To Be", which I really enjoyed reading. Love the Dempsey's... This was great, well written, funny, wondering what was going to happen next.. a real "chick lit" in a good way.. loved the characters, especially "Sid" who is just hysterical... looking forward to a third book in April 2014.. I had a feeling while reading this one, this may happen & happy to find out it is..
