Vampire Beach 1: Bloodlust; Initiation (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

Well, our story starts off semi-predictable in the beginning, but after awhile we aren't to sure what to expect or who to trust. There are these moments where you know exactlty what's going to happen. Then, their are some where just like WHOA!!! Ecspecially when it comes to, Jason and Sienna. They lacked some love near the beginning of the story, but you had these moments that just showed how much they loved each other. Thank goodness to otherwise without Sienna these Vampire Beach books would be nothing. The end is where our story gets at its most AMAZING and highest point. We have a bit of a cliff hanger ending, though. Which is good and keeps you interested for the next book. This book had love, dark secrets, mystery, supense, and so much more that just grabs you into the book. So, yeahh, it was pretty AMZING. This book is actually the first two books that were available when the series initially came out. I have to say that I definitely loved these covers over the original ones and had I seen the covers side by side on the shelf I would have gone straight to these without looking at the others every single time. I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but it really does make a difference.I like the story inside too! Jason was an enjoyable character to read about and I thought it was fun to get to hear the story told from the guys point of view this go around. I loved the chemistry between him and the resident vampire girl, Sienna. It was a nice spark to the story, and I appreciated how Jason hated that he was crushing on someone else's girl and tried to stop it before it went to far, even though it was clear from the start that Sienna was meant for him.I also really enjoyed the secondary characters in this book, both human and vampire. Their personalities were explained well and the characters themselves were easily likable and relatable...from geek to jock, nerdy to hottie. The story lines in this book were entertaining and never dragging, keeping the page turning moving along quickly and smoothly. The only thing I really had an issue with was the abundance of underage drinking and partying that went on, even with absentee parental approval. I understand it was crucial to the plot as a masking event for the vampires to be able to get their blood from unsuspecting humans, but it seemed very extreme to me as it went into naming the drinks, and even the ingredients in them at times. Not really necessary. But other than that it was a fun tale, and I look forward to reading the next one.

What do You think about Vampire Beach 1: Bloodlust; Initiation (2010)?

Fun, easy, entertaining...three perfect adjectives for a summer read....onto Vampire Beach 2.
