Sisterhood of Dangerous Girlfriends, ridiculous name! but that's what they are called. Vampiress Lily the protagonist, Alice and cara are her so called sisters, they are send to sniff out vampires who kills human in schools and potentially turning them.Let me tell you, Lily can substitute candy or anything with sugar for blood, she'll need blood but sugar will do the trick! They don't sweat but have saliva DNA. They can pray to God in a church, they are allergic to garlic and holy water, can walk out in daylight. Wait for it...when they are stake throught the heart and melted by holy water, melting as ice cream under the sun, melted throught the bones, disfigured and all until there's not much left. They can either be fixed by dipping their body in a pool of liquid ingredients, or be regerenate and nourished with blood and TLC. It takes weeks or months sometimes but then Ta Da! all better and new! Wow. Not your everyday average vampire love story. So much better. Lily is sort of thrust into being a vampire. But she's good at it, and what she does. She hunts Vamplayers, who would turn innocents into vampires. Her and her "sisters" work together to do this. But when they are assigned to Nightshade, things do NOT go as planned. Of course, Lily is certain she has it figured out the first day, who it is, who he is looking to turn, etc. Only, its not who she expected at all. And this person isn't your ordinary vampire, they are a Royal! I read this book in less than 4 hours, and that is only because my son kept making me stop to do something! I was taken by surprise!! Its unique, the characters are likable, and I love the book written from Lily's perspective, as if she really was the teenager in which form her body is trapped. 5 of 5 stars!!
What do You think about Vamplayers (2011)?
Wish I hadn't figured out the twist so early, but I still enjoyed the story.
