Depraved " by Bryan Smith - this is an awful book ! After all the praise it gets around here I was happy to finally start reading it , but how wrong I was . Every single chapter is a sex scene , and I mean every single ! It gets old pretty quickly , not to mention the rather unbelievable and unrealistic behavior of the characters . Strong potential of the story but Smith has not taken advantage of it . Definitely lives up to its name! I found it very hard to root for any of the characters, though. The only ones I kind of felt for were Megan and (strangely) Abby. I thought most of the main cast's motivations were questionable and hard to believe, but overall it wasn't a bad story and I won't be forgetting several of the scenes any time soon! It was like Richard Laymon mixed with Rob Zombie and Quentin Tarantino. Plays out like a pulpy grindhouse exploitation movie.
Writing wasn't the best, but the story kept me interested. It truly does live up to its name though.
