Purple Heart I was bored with the book, "Purple Heart." For one thing, I was very busy the last couple of weeks and I didn't have time to read. So the little things that I do every day, like reading, was getting boring. A second reason was because I wasn't going anywhere with the book. I would stop reading and then when I came back to the book I didn't know what happened before. Finally, the beginning of the book wasn't really interesting to me. Matt didn't do anything other than getting therapy by the doctors and having normal conversations with other characters.Jared Jaggi Purple Heart by Patricia McCormick The novel Purple Heart was found from Mr. Thiel’s room, room 606 on his excellent bookshelf. Patricia McCormick as well is the author of many others including, Never Fall Down, Sold, My Brother’s Keeper, and. A man named Matt Duffy awakes in a hospital bed one day unable to hardly move and not knowing how he got there. Matt Is a soldier in Iraq fighting the war with his squad members. He soon finds out that his arrival at the hospital was from being in the blast radius of a RPG. Matt soon starts remembering bits and pieces of what happened that night and how he survived. He also learns that this friend, a young local boy was shot during the firefight. Matt begins to look into what had happened that night and who exactly killed his good friend. This would be a good book for almost anyone to read. The book is interesting, but has a slow start to it. It describes the life that soldiers have in Iraq and how hard life there can be.

What a great book for boys! I think my students would love this. Very real and very well researched.
