Vince's Life The Next Chapter: Getting Over Andrea (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
I am happy to report that there is a guy lit god and he has graced this second book in the Vince’s Life trilogy with some mighty blessings: 1) Andrea finally gone; 2) Vince getting a new life – and a job, to boot, and 3) Vince moving on with Catwoman, who sounds like she looks like the Chinese model, Liu Wen. Okay, a bit superficial, but hey, at least I could understand this new girl’s appeal – smart, sassy, sexy – unlike Andrea who came across to me as one-dimensional. (Sorry, Andrea. You just can’t please everyone.) Two questions, though: So did Cat devirginize Vince? (See: “We didn’t sleep much.”) And what about Vince’s family life – hasn’t he got parents or siblings? I've read it ages ago, can't exactly remember when. I love it because it was simply written, and everything's very realistic, like it can happen to anyone. This book is sad. I honestly thought this was the end for the series (then it turned out there's still a 3rd book). I LOVE this quote, "Love is like fireworks. It's always a surprise. Everything was magical and just when I thought it couldn't get better, it always get better until I thought I would explode from joy. And then it was over." I've always disliked Andrea because she's selfish, and I honestly don't think Vince deserves her. I love Vince... and if it's true that this is based on a real story... I would certainly like to get to know Vince. He is indeed a poet. :) I also love Cat. She's simple yet beautiful. And I know she loves Vince the way Vince loves her. Can't say that this is a feel-good book because like I've said, it is sad. But still highly recommended because it is easy-to-read, and you would really feel the connection with the characters involved.
What do You think about Vince's Life The Next Chapter: Getting Over Andrea (2008)?
Relatable, even if the reader (i.e me) isn't around the same age as the protagonist.
