I admit to missing reading the story from Keir and Lara's POVs but still loved this book. I'm also wondering if there is going to be more books in this series. It ended with us hanging and all these new unanswered questions about this light and new creatures etc. Plus what happened in the Heart of the Plains. It's however been two years since this book came out and I tried looking online but it doesn't saything about another book coming out. Fingers crossed theres more cause I wanna know what happens next. This.was.amazing.The only thing I can even seem to complain about is that I want MORE! I literally inhaled this book in a day - the ending wasn't really a cliffhanger as a promise. A promise that I hope EV will fulfill soon!Questions, more questions I'm DYING to find out what's going on. Do I have to read the other series that I heard coincide with this one? What was the mysterious light? The surprise at the wedding, where/how/what did it come from?Aaargh. But I am glad, SO glad that EV seemed to do what I wished she would for the first three books. More details, dialogue and a satisfying end to each scene before she started a new one or, bless us, another POV.I get POV shifts, really. Sometimes it adds something to a novel, but there were more than I was happy with, some weren't needed at all, but whatever. Each one was at least satisfying to read and gain further information as to add to the story instead of detract from it. I actually laughed aloud at some of the scenes, which to me, is a definite KEEPER. Also, I gotta admit, EV's getting better on the smutty side of life with this book, Good Job, EV!Now I'm going to rip apart the internetz to figure out if I have to read the other books to get my answers or not.UPDATE:I recently reread these amazing books and I'm ngl, I'm very irked that this author hasn't continued on yet in these series. It's just cruel to leave us hanging while she slowly churns out another book. It's.been.Three.Years.Geez louise.Cue my Google fu and tracked down a audio interview she made and she has confirmed that she plans to write two additional stories for the Warprize series, but she's not sure exactly what's going to happen. Apparently she's been writing a shapeshifter story and sending that off instead of fulfilling my greedy need to continue the series.I hadn't yet read the Palins series yet, since I didn't know they'd intermingle so much, I guess that's what I'll be reading now but not very happily. According to the interview she left a gaping cliffhanger for those series as well. Gah.
What do You think about Warcry (2011)?
3 1/2* I would have much preferred this book to have Lara and Keir as the main protagonists.
