My first thought when I saw that this novella was released was "Yes, more Clay and Maggie"!! I really enjoyed Find You in the Dark and Light in the Shadows so this book was just a great bonus. Taking place after the last chapter of Light in the Shadows, and before the Epilogue; it tells you about the time when Clay returned to Florida to continue his out patient treatment while Maggie went off to college. We read about the struggles they faced with long distance love and their hope of a future together as well as Clay's battle to gain control over his bi-polar disorder. I can't say enough about this series and this book delivered just like the others. There are good stories and there are great stories, this is one story you can't get enough of. It was a great way to tie some knots and bring us to the end of this amazing, heartbreaking, warm, full of swings story. I was pleasantly surprised that it was mostly hopeful all the way through, and maybe knowing the end made it easy to not freak out. I'm disappointed that this is it for Clay and Maggie. This is a story I can't let go. Clay and Maggie will forever be one of my most favorite characters. I might have to re-read the books just so that I can get a fix and not go into withdraws.
What do You think about Warmth In Ice (2000)?
I couldn't stop grinning. The lines in this book made my heart all fuzzy. :)
