I decided to read this book only because of the title it shares with the Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand movie, which I absolutely love.. I did expect a story like the movie and it was along similar lines.. it's such a bittersweet love story... the kind that makes u wanna wallow and weep hysterical, gut wrenchingly satisfactory tears.. all the while Barbra Streisand croons "me...morieees" in the background.. I did like this book, overall. The beginning was very hard to get into but soon after I felt like I was starting to connect more with the characters I finally began to enjoy the book more. It had a some very realistic tones and situations to it and for me, I could relate to several situations that the main character found herself in. I would recommend it - but again, it had its slow moments and a few instances I felt weren't great and left to something to be desired.
Was disappointed with the ending a bit. Not every book can be rainbows and butterflies though.

Certainly not as good as her other novels, plus I wanted a Hollywood ending.
