This friends to lovers novella was a perfect chilly day warm-up! A lot of the m/m novellas I've read jump into the sex, but this one takes time to explore the emotions and feelings of two friends becoming lovers. The sexual tension between Joel and Asher is amazing as they explore their feelings--Joel coming to grips with being gay, Asher trying to decide if losing his best friend if he comes out is worth the risk. When they do get together, the sex is definitely HOT without being raunchy or crude. I'll check out more of KyAnn's books! I will call it PWP, but it has a plot. There´s an idea is just that it doesn´t come together in the right way.Joel and Asher have been best friends forever. Asher has never told Joel that he is bi, leaning towards gay and the he is in fact in love with Joel.After a nasty break up, Joel invites his BFF to Cabo San Lucas for the weekend that was supposed to be a romantic trip with his, now, ex GF.Over the weekend Joel realizes that he has feelings for his friend that are a bit more than just friendship.So the GFY theme is set, Joel struggles a bit with the idea of being gay, but all in all he embraces those feelings.The sex is hot, there is something about becoming lovers with your best friend, once you move past the awkward it just clicks and works.The thing that put me off is that the book needs some serious editing. The typos, grammar errors and others were not easy to ignore.All in all it was a very entertaining book and I got to read a new author.
