Weekend Sewing: More Than 40 Projects And Ideas For Inspired Stitching (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Lots of great ideas. It's a library book so the patterns are not included. I found good info on sewing and sewing machine basics. The reviews I've read on the actual sewing projects are mostly low due to inaccuracies in the patterns and directions. I won't be buying my own copy but I've learned a few things that will help me in choosing fabrics, thread and needles. There are also good ideas for setting up a sewing area. I would recommend this book on those reasons. I adore so many projects in this book. Once the moving craziness is done, I'm going to bribe Patty to take me with her on a fabric treasure hunt through the hidden gems of the fashion district, after which I will make pajama pants for Corrin and several of the knee-length cotton skirts for myself. And there just may be enough leftover fabric to have Patty whip up some knitting project bags -- I'll happily pay someone else to set in zippers!
