I enjoyed this Jojo Moyes book greatly because the premise was different. Her characters are rich and real. My only complaint was how quickly the characters looked past their differences and fell for each other. It seemed a little forced, but so was Me Before You. I do appreciate Jojo Moyes' ability to write different stories. Often I find authors of multiple books can begin to write the same material with different characters. I will continue to read more by her. Jojo Moyes is fast becoming a favorite author. I've only read Me before You and it's already been cast into a movie, which is wonderful. This book is just as lovely. It elicits emotion with the turn of every page. Characters aren't fleeting. They have depth and are easy to relate to. In fact the book could be anyone's story - realistic and smart. The story challenges you through these characters. What would you do if you were in certain situations? the ones that befall these characters have touched all of us. Tanzie is my favorite character; probably because I was never good at math in school but more so because I'm a mom. The mom in me wanted her to succeed no matter what.
good story about overcoming obstacles and seeing the best in people and situations. recommended
