Another great novel by MHC. Some may say that she is as predictable about crime and mystery novels as Danielle Steele is about romance but I never tire of her writing style. There were quite a few turns in this book with just the crimes alone, then you add in the several love triangles and it set another tone. It is amazing to me that a new journalist/reporter along with the lawyer of the famous Molly Lasch were the ones to truly crack the case apart and prove her innocence. I think the big shocker to me that it was Molly's best friend that ended up murdering Gary Lasch in cold blood because she realized her lover was having yet another affair and so outraged murdered him because she was not going to be the third woman on his list. Wow then I thoroughly taken back by the misfortune and crime going on at the hospital where Gary was the head of and then his own friends were in cahoots with him testing experimental drugs on patients to help the elderly or those that weren't that far from death on their way out quickly. To think that of people really having this frame of mind that it is easier to let someone go and die then to have them hold on is insane. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel.....on to the next!
What do You think about We'll Meet Again (2004)?
UggggI used to devour MHC books. I got this at a library purge sale with about 130 other audio books. Thought I'd give it a listen & maybe renew an old acquaintance. Is this typical of the books I used to love? What did I see in them?A loose plot wrapped up in a heartbeat. But the most annoying thing...90% of the time the characters were referred to by their first AND last names. Not just minor characters but the main characters. The dead husband, the scorned wife, friends, lawyers...everyone.

3 STARS "Dr Gary Lasch is found dead at his desk. The murder stuns his elite Connecticut community - especially when his beautiful young wife, Molly, is arrested and charged with his murder. Six years later, on Molly's release from prison, she reasserts her innocence in front of reporters gathered at the prison gates. Among them is an old schoolfriend, Fran Simmons, who is currently working as an investigative reporter for a true crime television series. Determined to prove her innocence, Molly convinces Fran to research and produce a programme on Gary's death. Fran agrees, but in doing so, she has a second agenda - to learn the truth about her own father's suicide fourteen years earlier. Fran soon finds herself enmeshed in a tangled web of intrigue and menace - more deaths and more unanswered questions about Gary Lasch's death. As her investigation proceeds, there are those who know they must make a choice: face ruin, or eliminate Fran." (From Amazon)A good suspense novel.
