Wenn Es Blaue Sterne Regnet (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

This is a cute, light, romance read. The setting is interesting: it takes place at the end of the second World War, when America was celebrating the return of its soldiers. The story line is well written and put together. There are two sex scenes - so just beware if you are reading with a group. I would have given it more stars, but I am just not a fan of fiction books for the sake of fiction books which this felt like to me. This book reminded me a lot of The Bridges of Madison County. Two people meet and after a couple of days discover that they are each others' soul mates. Yet, due to duty, it cannot happen. Despite that, I enjoyed the book. I don't have any major complaints. I do wonder, however, why Lily and Jake didn't seek other out. It was such a deep love; I wouldn't have given up. I don't know if I'd recommend this book, but I didn't mind it.
