My husband said that the title must have been a pun on Bank's writing as well as the title character. I read Underfoot recently, and it was cute, so I picked this one up. it is like a bad carbon copy of Underfoot. Even the sex scenes are embarrassingly poorly written. I read romance novels because they have happy endings and are generally cheerful books. but this particular one, I felt my IQ dropping more the further I read it. so I stopped reading it. addendum: I admit it. I picked it back up out of morbid curiosity. and the book DID get better. still not the best writing she's written, much less that anyone else has written. However, it was not as bad as I thought it might be. the ending made me happy. Like any good romance should. :)
