White Knight, A Contemporary Christian Romance (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
Sweet love story--hero carrying guilt because he can't save the world and heroine broken because the love of her life is gone. The story shows how God can help us grow stronger through life's challenges and how we can either choose to live in the past with all of our pain, regrets, and guilt; or choose to live looking to the future and all the possibilities that lie before us. You love the hero and heroine and root for them throughout the book. The remaining characters add charm, laughter, and wisdom as all friends tend to do in each of our lives. An enjoyable, uplifting read. What can you say about book two in The Courage Series other than, great! Not only did we see A.J. and Eve fall in love, but we continued with Jeff and Lisa's story, which I really enjoyed. I hate getting attached to characters in book one only to never, or rarely, see them again. That certainly wasn't the case in White Knight. I have to say, I was not a fan of Melody's, A.J.'s "best friend," but I suspect I'll cove to like her more in book three, given she's one of the main characters. Although you could read this as a stand alone book, I would suggest reading To Protect & Serve first.
