Who's Afraid Of Mr Wolfe? (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

a very confusing book. several themes were alluded to by the author but never followed up on. For example, there might be one reference at the beginning about Ellie being fat and feeling self-conscious, but throughout the book that theme was nowhere to be seen: suddenly Ellie is a beautiful and slender woman (and that's what the reader thinks, not just what Jack thinks). Also, the theme of Jack being hurt once and afraid to love again: and once again this theme was alluded to once or twice but that's it!! so it made absolutely no sense to have such a weird breakup and falling out between the characters! final rating: 2 stars= "Meh" It wasn't the book for me, I liked it at first, until the middle everything was fine... but then it turned boring, I couldn't care less what had happened to Jack wife (although it was obvious that it was something in those lines. And really all that chasing around him and the way Jack treated her, I didn't like him at all, he treated her like shit most of the times.So for me it wasn't good, it was well written and I liked that I could read the thoughts of the two characters, but the story was boring.
