Why I Love Singlehood: A Novel (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

I don't know what it is, but I have read like ten books this year where the main character either owns a coffee shop, is the baker at a coffee shop, or works at a coffee shop... And the sad thing is that I don't drink coffee, so when I'm reading and their describing the delicious aroma of coffee beans I'm inwardly cringing. As for the actual story I really enjoyed it. A bit cliche, but all romance novels are. I liked that I have found another book not about teenagers, that is like a romantic comedy, but is clean! So refreshing to read something that doesn't make my ears turn pink. Chick-lit meets romance that might change your opinion of singlehood. Typical story line and feel-good ending, but definitely not boring. It's also got lots of meaningful insights into the whole dating, find-a-lover thing society seems to think is a must-do for everyone, so that's definitely a plus. A good read for anyone who thinks they have to conform to these social norms, or those who feel like a loser just because they don't conform.
