I am absolutely loving these Pulp Friction books from Havan Fellows, Laura Harner, T.A. Webb and Lee Brazil! Each author is bringing their A-game to these stories and it really shows.I'd be lying if I didn't say that Wick Templeton completely made this story for me. I mean, it's his sarcastic and snarky brand of humor that made me adore him. He's a retired cop who's kind of a PI, but really he just does jobs for people. A type of odd job handyman, I suppose. Ned Harris we haven't got a clue who he is. He's not a cop, maybe a Fed, but we're left in the dark about his true identity. They bump into each other, literally, solving an insider trading case. I also like the subtle sexual tension the author included, but no sex, which just intensifies it.So excited to read the next book! Ye Gods, I am head over heels in love with the Pulp Fiction group of authors. I love everything they have done, Wicked Solutions is no exception. These are intense, taut, thrillers that push every button I have. Wick is an ex cop turned PI(it's already got me right there)investigating an ex lover Brad's job. Someone is trying to make him the fall guy in insider trading. What Wick finds, is Ned Harris, who won't identify himself, but attaches himself to Wick. Irritating, and intriguing, Wick can't get over him. Hope this means, Ned shows up in #2. I give it a gumshoe worth of stars, bring on #2.
What do You think about Wicked Solutions (2013)?
Quick, short read. Nice start to this series, now off to part 2.
