I'm a fan of Deborah Blake's books! I have almost all her non-fiction titles and was thrilled when I heard she had a fiction book out! Her writing style feels like you are talking with a good friend over a cup of tea. Her fiction book has that same cozy feel! I was sad when I neared the end of the book as I didn't want the journey to end! I did read the novella and suggest that to anyone who loves the Baba Yaga series! I hope this series continues for a long time! I enjoyed Wickedly Dangerous immensely and am now reading Wickedly Wonderful which is living up to it's name! I enjoyed this novel. It was fun and relaxed. The writing flowed smoothly along and the plot had just enough action and romance blended together. I always like when the characters try to deny their feelings for each other, but in the end, it's inevitable that they fall in love. There are a few different supernatural beings such as a pit bull who's really a dragon and is always willing to eat someone. The Otherworld has a court, complete with a Queen and King, that I'm sure is a faerie court even though it's not actually stated. It does mention a brownie and pointy ears though, so yeah. I love stories about fairies and witches (also a hunky sheriff doesn't hurt), so this book was a good fit for me.
An interesting story. Full of magic, betrayals, evil spells, mistrust, hope, revenge.
