Man! Imogene really is one crazy lady but it wasn't enough to grip me with this book. Though the story was good and there was a lot of action, I couldn't help but feel that the same things were just happening over and over in this book. It just seemed too repetitive and after a point I had to say, "Really, that happened?" It was almost too many things happening and I was finding it harder to believe that Imogene was that powerful. I still enjoyed the characters, but I think that Jack and Molly hit their prime and they really shouldn't have been doing half the things that they were doing. I know that they said they would do anything for their son, but there has to be limits. I mean starting a forest fire, flying a helicopter without ever doing it before, and battling a bear all in a 30 minute period? That is above and beyond. I don't know how there is anything left for a third book. lol. I think that the author did a good job writing this book for elementary school kids, because I think that all that stuff is perfect for them. Maybe I'm just too old to get sucked in by it. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I waited 5 stinking months to get this book, and I stopped everything I did and read it in a day. It was just as good as the first one, except filled with mystery after mystery, and I thought it would never end!!!!!!! Which is not a bad thing if it didn't. Sadly there are only 3 books in the series. :( But this is now one of my favorite series. It was incredible, amazing, miraculous, etc.AN AWESOME READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do You think about Widow's Revenge (2007)?
Gets pretty intense for a while, and I just could not put it down. Great story and engaging!
