I was lucky enough to meet Juliette Jones who offered me the opportunity to read her book Wild Ride. I am glad that I did because Wild Ride took me on a sexy, hot wild ride.Wild Ride tells the story of Lacey Callihan whose life seems to have hit a dead end. She has a loser boyfriend and a loser job. She had always planned on leaving but the plans were pushed forward when her boyfriend dared to hit her. The fact that she wouldn’t tolerate that type of behavior made her a woman I could admire and respect.She left her Podunk town and never looked back. But her bad luck continued when her car died on the highway. Things picked up when two hunky guys in a convertible offered to give her a ride. Cousins Nate and Riley Walker offer Lacey more than just a ride and she throws caution to the wind and decides to live in the moment.I must confess though that I did have difficulty with one aspect of Wild Ride and that was the believability issue. I am a city girl born and bred so the concept of just getting into a car with two strangers is quite foreign to me. Then she agrees to let Riley bring her to orgasm while they are driving. What type of girl does that? Because of this, it took me a while to get into the book. Fortunately once the trio reached their hotel, the fun really begun and I was able to just sit back and join Lacey on that wild ride. I was pleased to see how sweet the book turned out to be. I thought it might focus only on the sex, which was okay because it was really good. But no, Ms. Jones surprised me with the connection between the characters which brought Wild Ride into another level for me. Wild Ride is a quick read and a stand alone with an HEA so everything is wrapped up nicely leaving you happy and satisfied. I am so pleased that I was able to find a new author to enjoy. I can’t wait to read more by Ms. Jones. If you are looking for a romance with character building and a relationship that grows, this is not for you. This is a short, HOT story about a girl who is fed up with her mother and leaves her town and ex boyfriend on her 21st birthday. She is headed to connect with a friend but on the way there her car breaks down. She is picked up by two wealthy cowboys. What is supposed to be a night of fun (and boy is it... hot, sexy, steamy and down right sinful) turns into the start of a blossoming relationship with one of the cowboys! I liked this short story (though it only consisted of 2 days) and thought the epilogue was sweet! I gave it three stars ONLY because this book could have been developed into a longer story and it would have been so much better!
