Really excited about the premise of this book. And of course, as the final installment in the Chosen Ones series, I was looking forward to seeing the plot resolved.I liked the main characters (Aleksandr/Guardian and Charisma) but the plot was confusing. There was a LOT going on. Could have done without the Wilder family reunion; could have done without the Switzerland feather scene; could have done without the infodumps. Not sure why it took so long to get around to the plot with Charisma and Guardian, and not sure why the ending seemed so anticlimactic. The epilogue was super over-the-top and shmoopy. Ultimately, I liked the main characters enough to still give this a 3* rating. I would NOT recommend reading this if you have not read the rest of the series. Note: I COMPLETELY agree with reviewer who says that the cover is false advertising. It really, REALLY is. I feel like I waited for this book forever. The Darkness Chosen is one of my favorite series and so it made sense to continue on with the Chosen ones. The first couple books of The Chosen Ones were pretty decent, the middle two were blah. This one was great. Everything I was wanting for the book. Yeah a little sappy, yes it followed a Beauty and the Beast-esque theme. I'm good with it all. I traded in my other books in this series, but I would keep this one as a read alone, I think it will fit nicely with my four Darkness Chosen books. Grandpa, uncles, dad, son...gotta keep the family.
What do You think about Wilder (2012)?
We can see that this book is definitely the ending of the series... Love it :)

A satisfying conclusion to the series, with a fun epilogue!
