Really enjoyed hearing the behind the scenes stories (especially Patriots and USC). The biggest takeaway for me was the importance of a personal philosophy that you can articulate and execute in your life. Also his lesson from the Patriots was that sometimes your philosophy doesn't match that of your organization and you either have to change or leave (or get told to leave). Changing organizations is hard, but is possible with a very thoughtful approach. No rocket science in the book, but good solid leadership advice. Win Forever is an excellent book for those who want to find a philosophy that can be applied in all aspects of life. Pete Carroll explains how his experiences both as a player and coach shaped his philosophy and who he is today. He also provides quotes from those that he followed and gives an insight of how his first coaching season with the Seattle Seahawks went and what he plans to do with the Seahawks. For who always compete, or those who want to make the most of their lives, this book is perfect for you.
Good presentation of a very deep topic. Self challenge is always difficult no matter the endeavor.
