A great free read. Basically, the story centers around Cillian. When he was turned into a vampire, he lost his ability to hear. Because of this he was shunned form the vampire world for not being perfect. Cillian has lived along for hundreds of years, thinking he was weak. That all changes when he runs into Donal.Donal is a banshee who has also lived for hundreds of years. He comes across Cillian on a beach one evening and realizes Cillian is actually a master vampire. There if a group of young vampires in the city causing trouble and Donal is furious that Cillian hasn't put them in their place yet. When he confronts Cillian he discovers that Cillian has no idea about the power he can wield. He promises Cillain he would teach him to be the master vampire he is.There the story continues around Cillian's growth and the budding relationship between Cillain and Donal. It was a sweet story with some angst, but not a lot. This is a Love Has No Boundaries story, so the amount of time the author had to write it is pretty impressive. Very fun to read... I love the zesty squirrels and the characters.I felt the love was a little fast, a little abrupt, a little lacking in emotional content. And the ending was a little bit of the same. The villain was too obvious, although an interesting concept. But despite those problems, it was a fun story and made me smile. I would love to see more of this world. Maybe Zachary's story.The deafness was a good idea and I think this was well-executed, but the strength of this story was the cute, quirky characters and the world, not the romance. The magic system was barely introduced and not really detailed, but enough to make me want more.
