Wir Beide Wie Sonne Und Mond (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

This is one of those quick YA romance books. This one is just as entertaining as most other ones in the genre, so if you like those you will probably like this. Sometimes the authors writing felt a little awkward, but overall a good standalone novel. I really liked the switching of the characters point of view, and at several points in the story I couldn't help but wonder what the other character was thinking at any given point of time because I liked both their POVs. An unlikely love story that blossoms over the course of one night. Jonah is the new kid in town and works hard to keep his distance from his classmates choosing his friends and former town over the preppy perfect kids he believes he knows.Brighton is pretty, popular, and smart with a good heart. She's preparing for a memorial for her father and trying to match the 100% participation record he set when he was in charge of Key Club. When she approaches Jonah to gain his support he has nothing but means words for her, but she is determined to find out what makes him tick. What follows is a night neither will soon forget and one that will change them forever.A chance meeting with Jonah's mother at the nail salon ends with Brighton babysitting Jonah's infant sister and the chain of events it sets off bring the teens into one another's inner circle as they challenge each other to grow.I liked the fresh characterization and the action that drives this budding relationship forward. I liked the dual perspective storytelling that allows readers to spend time in both teens' minds. The attraction and romantic scenes are palpable and very well done without getting too graphic. Overall, a solid teen read worth recommending for grades 8 and up.

What do You think about Wir Beide Wie Sonne Und Mond (2014)?

I liked it well enough, but it was really short. Was so surprised when it suddenly came to an end.
