Wired For War: The Robotics Revolution And Conflict In The 21st Century (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

This is an excellent book that is so rich with information and ideas I found myself constantly stopping to either ponder possible futures or to write down inspired story ideas. I've heard from many sources that the robotics revolution is coming and this is the perfect prep. Like so many innovations, the robotics field is growing because of warfare, but soon it will most likely take over aspects of our daily lives. Thinking about the possible futures is cause for both wonder and fear. Very well written overview of the emerging technology. Despite being a few years old, you'll still be impressed how far along the technology is. That said, the second half of analysis is a little light on examining the implications of these weapons of war as far as warfare goes. Instead tends to focus on the more popular ethical and social implications. If you are even partially interested in this technology or the emerging debates over their civil and military use, this book is a must read.

What do You think about Wired For War: The Robotics Revolution And Conflict In The 21st Century (2009)?

Probably a logical book-end to the 1968 "Unless Peace Comes". Well worth reading.
