I just can’t seem to carry cups.” “Maybe, in future, it would be better if you give me a shout when the tea is ready, and I can come and get it.” “That’s a good idea.” As she put the cup down onto my desk, more tea slopped over the side. “Sorry, Jill.” “It’s okay.” “What about sugar? I didn’t put any in, because I don’t really understand how much you take.” “It’s okay. I’ve got some in my drawer. I’ll see to it.” She turned around, and was about to leave. “Jules. Just a second. I thought you should know that Mrs V took a call from Jethro, yesterday.”
