This saga in 4 parts is the story of Bliss's trip to find the wolves and bring them back into the fold and enlist their help in the vampire (Blue Bloods) war against the demons (Silver Bloods). It was a bit disjointed to read this in the middle of the Blue Blood series, but I guess that's were it goes chronologically. It really was like driving on a highway and taking a detour down an exit ramp before you can get back on the main thoroughfare. Now that said, it was still a very good book. It was filled with insight into the wolves, hellhounds and denizens of the underworld. The characters were all pretty thoroughly fleshed out and for the most part likeable. A lot of the book takes place in Ohio rather than NYC but there is travel to Europe thru the dark paths or paths of time. I can't remember what they're called. It's a very quick moving story that only took me a day to read and it definitely kept me reading rather than doing the household chores I should have been doing. The Pistis Sophia began the book with Bliss then was suddenly dropped and only mentioned again at the end. I felt that more of what had happened to her should have been included in this story. Perhaps it'll be in the next book. If it hadn't been for the lack of the Pistis Sophia story or the fact that it seemed like such a detour I would have probably given the book/saga 5 stars.
