I was told to read this book since I like paranormal romance. I have to agree I liked this story. The characters are well developed and the story flowed well. (But please be advised that the crime scenes could be too much for some people). Was very good though. This story is about a special team the works with the FBI. This team is made up of people who are shifters, mediums, and have special abilities. Erica sees dead people and helps solve the crimes that killed them. She has to be paired up with Trent who is a shifter and who will soon be her mate. Erica has been trying to ignore her feelings for him and Trent has had a hard time trying to get her to see the real him not the womanizing man she thinks he is. They work together to solve the crime. Series: Federal Paranormal Unit #1Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance, SuspenseReceived from: Amazon purchaseRecommended for: 18+ due to sexual contentGrammar/editing: A – near perfectThis is the first book in the Federal Paranormal Unit series. They do need to be read in order.I was confused during the first few chapters just because people were sometimes called by their first names and sometimes by their last. So I’m going to give you a list of the team members:James Brock – team leader – I think he’s fae, but we’re not told in this bookErica Villa – profiler – energy reader/psychicTrent Buchanan – agent – wolf shifterJane Donovan – team techie – her brand of “other” isn’t identified in this bookTony Ramirez – agent – white tiger shifter There, now that that is taken care of, I’ll tell you it was worth the confusion. This team of paranormals is an elite team in the FBI, usually working missing person cases. This time, they’ve been called in on a murder, knowing that another young woman is still missing. Erica has been fighting her feelings for Trent since the day they met. The same day that Trent knew that she was his Mate. Now they are leading the team while Brock is handling the more political aspects for their superiors. I loved this story from beginning to end. From the first sentence, the sexual tension between Erica and Trent jumps off the page (screen) and it never stops. Trent may have known for years that Erica is his Mate, but he has been biding his time and letting her get to know him. Too bad she’s picked up on his past a little too well. She thinks he is just another Casanova and wants her as another notch on his bedpost. When the timing is finally right, he is there for her - just there. There is nothing better for one person to do for another. That breaks down her walls faster than any romantic gesture or posturing ever could.I have read several of Ms. Taiden’s other books from her Scent of a Mate series and I have seriously loved every one of them. Ms. Taiden’s ladies are real women with curves that are appreciated by her hot men. All of her characters are real – great at some things, good at some things, and yet flawed in some aspects – just like real people. I will always read a Milly Taiden book when it’s available.
What do You think about Wolf Protector (2013)?
Good story, lots of sexy time. Needs edit work as character names are incorrect in several places.

I really liked this book except the few typos where character names were messed up.
