Wonder Woman Unbound: The Curious History Of The World's Most Famous Heroine (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
My significant other bought me this book as a birthday present. I was initially unconvinced by a book purporting to unveil Wonder Woman's history. However, Tim Hanley fully converted me to a Wonder Woman appreciator. He delicately discussed her role as a palimpsest, showing how Wonder Woman has been molded, remolded, and torn apart by the comic book industry. Yet, Hanley retains the importance of discussing this figure throughout his entire piece. I'm wholly impressed by his scholastic work. Hanley breaks down the evolution of Wonder Woman into three eras, which made the history and information very digestible. Hanley also presents his information in a non-bias fashion by providing lots of sources, charts and statics. This is a great book for super heroes† lovers and someone who is looking for a book as an introduction to feminism.†I consider "heroes" a post-gender term, so please don't bitch about me not using the word "heroines", that, to me, is some self-isolation BS.

So much about Wonder Woman I didn't know, a comprehensive study of her background and motivations.

It was a very interesting read, although about a character I knew nothing about.

A little dry, but in depth of the history of Wonder Woman.
