Meh! It was ok. Katie is devastated when her husband leaves her for his twenty year old former student who is having his baby. She accompanied Lizzie on a trip to a golf tournament and meets Dario Luna. Sparks fly. There's some clumsiness, a bit of awkwardness and maybe a gained sense of self. It was a good story. A bit long and not as engaging as Lizzie and Finn's story. I did like the Katie took the high road whenever she saw Ron with his new family. (So not me but I appreciate it in others :D) Since I'm two books into the series, I feel committed to finishing it so I hope that Alison's story is going to be better than Katie's. The second in Mara Jacobs Worth series is a great addition to the first and revolves around Lizzie's friend Kate, who after 13 years of marriage is single again after her husband leaves her for the younger woman he got pregnant, something he and Kate have been unable to do.Once again a well written story that puts us in the mindset of a strong yet fragile Kate who meets professional golfer Dario Luna and thinks she found a way to move on and instead finds herself pregnant after years of infertility.I loved the journey of Kate and Dario from a one night stand to navigating a surprise pregnancy to real love while figuring out how to grow through the mistakes of the past. The most surprising element of this story was its treatment of Kate's ex-husband Ron! So many stories would make Ron the bad guy but Mara treats his as a diverse character just like her hero and heroine and by doing this we see Kate needing to acknowledge her own contribution to the death of her marriage. A great touch!
It was a good read. Don't know if i really loved it however. But still good.
