Wrapped Up In Chains (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I enjoyed this story. Devon is a sweet, caring Dom who adapts to suit what he feels Chase needs to heal his wounds. This enables Chase to trust in Devon's consistency of safety and warmth.I found it a bit strange that Devon didn't seem to know what was going on in his club, and went against his better judgment in trusting employees that were not shown to be trustworthy. He seemed to trust his intuition well enough while dealing with Chase, and what the boy needed, but wouldn't trust his gut when hiring staff to ensure the safety of his customers? Didn't really click for me.I enjoyed the slow build with their relationship. It would be only natural for an abuse survivor to be extremely jumpy and frightened, and Devon understood this and kept things at Chase's pace. The way the two were tied together didn't really mesh for me, but I suppose the villain was a nut job, so it's only fair that his reasoning wouldn't make much sense.Overall it was a sweet story, with some nice sexy bits. Not much BDSM. Some Discipline when Chase needed it, but everything else was quite light. This would be a great intro into the M/M BDSM genre for those who are thinking about taking the plunge, but don't want anything too extreme.**Trigger warning** There is some abuse in the beginning, and some violence as part of the plot. i enjoyed this book very much. the two MCs are written very well, and i loved watching them both grow throughout the novel. Devon is a strong Dom, and an even better person, and cares very much to his "adopted family." and when he finds Chase, his world is turned around. he not only has found the one person he's every wanted in a sub, but has to protect Chase, his own friends and himself. he's got a great group of friends, true family, they watch over each other, even if it means risking their own freedom, or lives.
