Aside from being extremely entertaining, I'm actually picking up a good bit of Japanese culture from these manga. Like in this one, Yotsuba attends a festival where each town has a portable shrine with people inside banging huge drums. Each portable shrine has ropes attached and everyone in the town drags it to the main shrine while yelling "Yoi Yasaa!" Of course, Yotsuba takes this very seriously as the children are rewarded at the end of the festival with candy!p.s. Bought some ramen at the store today because Yotsuba's obsession with it gave me a huge craving :) Chapters: 49,50,51,52,53,54,55 .Yotsuba play the Opposites game , she say something and mean the opposite ,she went to Restaurant for lunch she had real fun ,she went to a Culture Festival too and that was super !they have Typhoon and her father said she can't go out but did she ? she tried to be a grown-up with a little help from Jumbo ,she went to the Festivals with her father and the neighbours and had a lot of candy , it's almost fall and she needs to go shopping for fall clothing .
What do You think about Yotsuba, Tome 8 (2009)?
Definitely the most hilarious Yotsuba book I've read in quite a while. She's awesome. :)
