You Herd Me!: I'll Say It If Nobody Else Will (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Really entertaining read. Sometimes it's interesting to just sit back and read someone else's unique perspective on a topic and how they substantiate their stance. That's what this book does with the ESPN Radio personality's unique style. Agree or disagree, it's a fun book to read and requires little thought...something we can all use from time to time. Most sports fans should like this book unless they are entirely biased 'homers'; this one has a prerequisite of open-mindedness. Recommended, for sure. Ultimately, I really enjoyed this book. I always find it fascinating to try to dive into someone else's logic and arguments. Here, Cowherd lays out his various views on sports and life. The book is a lot like listening to his radio show. Informative, insightful, and primarily from a vantage point not usually taken. That is the main reason I like this guy. He has a way of putting things that make you think. Now, in a book format I don't find that works as well for me. I felt like the book was too similar to his radio show, but then again I can't blame the guy for using that format. It is his bread and butter! However, the topics were a little to all over the board for me. I found myself disagreeing with a lot of what was said, and that all lead me to the favorable, yet lacking, rating of 3 out of 5.

Slow start. Stuff I'd already heard on his radio show. Got much better. Enjoyed it a lot.

Great read. Almost a five. The book is just an extension of his show, which I like.
