I gave up on this story when I reached Chapter 5. I was thoroughly frustrated and confused. The author spent far too much time in the first 4 chapters on describing Zack's background and very little time focusing on action of the character's "present day" situation, and she totally lost me. The dialogue between characters was lame and uninspired, and I didn't find any reason why I would want to see a continued relationship between Zack and Skylar. They both decided to torture themselves by remaining single (and celibate?)ever since their break-up a decade ago. They each harbored hurt and anger towards each other for that entire time. How would these emotions really foster an improved relationship? I wasn't in the mood to wait around and find out. Not bad....not bad at all. And my first for Ms McCray ...The storyline was ok....a little unrealistic that a guy dumps you out of the blue 10 years before and you just basically welcome him home with bygones....um, not so much...The romance aspect of the book was excellent. Not too little, and not too much. It was actually a well rounded book as far as storyline was concerned. They set up the story, got to the point and ended the book. Nothing seemed to drag. Kinda refreshing....Let's see if Trinity and Luke can do any better :)
