I really liked this book I read like 2 times because I loved the ending. It's about this girl, Olivia, she wants to be an actress when she grows up. She have been auditioning for commercials. and when she got the part for this big commercial something comes up... she has an ace. Her face has pimples. In backstage she has a lot of makeup to cover up her ace. When she gets to school she has so many people staring at her. Zitface is about 14 year old Olivia Hughes- a pretty eighth grader who acts in commercials. She is well liked, has a budding career, and most recently, a cute new Boyfriend named JW. And she gets a possible big break-a thousand-dollar deal for a major waterpark. Her life is finally coming together... until a severe case of acne comes and ruins it all. She loses her muse, her peers respect, ad even her job. Olivia tries all of the acne treatments that her dermatologist prescribes her, but nothing works. But in the end, she realizes that maybe her curse of acne is a blessing in disguise. She is freer to do as she pleases, learns more about herself, and best of all, a new guy who cares more about her than her looks or big break.I love this book because it realistically depicts the life of an eighth grade girl going through the struggles of acne. Not only that, but it shows regular struggles, besides the acne. It is a quick read, but it's still great for the avid reader. I would recommend this book to any girl, young or old. It's also fitting for all reading levels.
What do You think about Zitface (2011)?
Not well written, incredibly shallow characters, and reads like a dermatological brochure. ICK.

This book is awesome for middle school girls going through all the changes in their lives.
