As a child, I was fascinated by fairytales, just like any girl would be. I loved Cinderella, sleeping beauty, snow white, and bell and well a lot many other names. I longed for when the prince would arrive and end the princesses’ sufferings by taking them away from all evil. To be honest like every girl, I was waiting for my very prince charming, and was dying to be a princess too and have my own fairy tale, where I would be the fairest maiden in the entire country. However, growing up I learned it was all a lie. There was no magic, no unicorns, no kingdom and for all, no prince charming. When I was older enough to look at the reality, my sister was still a kid, fascinated by all the stuff I had out grown by then. The same violence on the princesses, then at last the prince comes and ended it all. I felt why can’t the girls do something. Why is it that only their Prince comes and saves them? Why can’t the girls themselves stand and up against the torture, the mistreatment and say its enough? Are we girls not strong enough to face people? Cant we take our own revenge, without being dependent on a man to come along, taking an oath to save us? I wanted to see the girls being wild and take their own revenge, that wish of mine was fulfilled by the author. When I first saw the book, I thought what alteration would be possible, I mean what would Cinderella do being a zombie. The job I took for discovery, turned out to be one of the best things I have read this year. The book was AWESOME. From the very beginning to the end, the book just grabbed me, making me sit on my chair till the book was over. I just couldn’t stop myself from reading, even if my body starved for water. In the beginning, looking at the scenes, the emotion that was started, I wasn’t sure if I would be satisfied by the ending, as I have seen books with a great beginning, but a not very satisfying ending. And to be honest, I was more than satisfied! The book is different, great, awesome, and a must read. However, irrespective of being such a fan of this book, I would suggest only those people who are okay with violence, as the contents of the book may be TOO violent for some people.GUESS I FOUND OUT WHAT I AM GONNA BE THIS HALLOWEEN! I really enjoyed this version of Cinderella. I was lost in the story within minutes of starting. I loved that Cinderella had a chance at revenge after all the abuse she put up with. When I got to the end of the story, I was dying to know what happens when she gets to the ball. Such a dark twist on a children's classic...I will definitely pick up more of these Zombie Fairy Tales!***I received this novella at no charge through Goodreads.com***
