She was sure that the rug would be completely threadbare soon. Her eyes were puffy and the odd silent tear still managed to escape. Tanya had assured her that Zane was going to rescue Ross and Rushe but that was three hours ago. Although she’d called Tanya five times since, her friend had no new information except to assure her that all would be well. The problem was, Becky knew Tanya, and her friend sounded worried. She certainly wasn’t her normal upbeat, fun self. That meant that she was worried for her mate and possibly even for Becky’s guys as well. Another freaking tear leaked out and she rubbed it away with the back of her hand. If she knew where those elves were holed up, she would head out there and find out for herself. Unfortunately she didn’t and that left her pacing because she couldn’t sit and do nothing. As she paced back up the hall, there was a knock on the door. She spun around so fast that she almost gave herself whiplash. Becky sprinted to the door and opened it.
