He’d only gotten a couple of hours of sleep, same as last night. Calix didn’t want to get out of bed, but he needed to get started on Senator Richards. Before he put the plan in motion, he needed to let Carol know a little of what he was going to do, so that she wouldn’t get in the way. He didn’t want to talk to her, and she’d probably hang up on him when she heard his voice. No, he would e-mail her that would be the safest way to tell her. Reluctantly, Calix got up and out of bed. First thing to do was to call his office and let them know he would not be in and to reschedule any appointments he had for the day. He then walked out of his bedroom and headed to his home office.
