I fell in love with the first book in the series, A Dogs Purpose, so ever since then I've wanted to read this book. When I finally got the chance I was ecstatic. This book is filled with emotion. Sadness, joy, and love fill the pages of this book. I love how the author makes the dog spirit live different lives a learn to love care and be nice. Buddy, is an old dog who has lived many previous lives and has lived as Max, Molly, and Toby(second one). He's also been Bailey, Toby, and Ellie. During his previous life's he has learned how to be a good dog. He must accomplish his purpose to go to heaven. His purpose is to serve his master, Ethan and his granddaughter Clarity. He must protect and serve both of them till the day they die. This book is heartfelt and sweet. I love how this book is from the dogs point of few. For instence Clarity was wearing a different pair of shoes and she was sad. So Max tore up the shoes thinking Clarity would be happy cause the "sad shoes" were gone. If you love dogs, and crying this is the perfect book for you. I suggest reading the first book before this one though, A Dogs, Purpose. I gave this book a 5 because the author made me feel so many different emotions. I think girls and boys can read this. Go out and read it , it might become your favorite. What do You think about A Dog's Journey (2012)?
After reading "A Dog's Purpose," I was hoping this novel would do it justice in being a sequel and it definitely did. Cameron writes wonderfully in the point of view of a dog. His words flow as he combines the dog world with the human world. Cameron opens his readers up to the love that bonds humans and dogs. As readers follow the birth, death, and rebirth of the canine main character, they will grow to love his/her thoughts and insights on purpose and how to determine what our purpose is in life. At the end of the novel I found myself sobbing like a baby, but feeling complete and fulfilled with the conclusion. You'll find yourself finishing this novel in no time.

While reading this book i experienced a wide range of emotions: Happiness, anger, frustration, anxiousness, sadness, love, worry, etcI did not particularly like the roller coaster of emotions but it shows how good of a writer Bruce Cameron is.I will not say it's one of my favourite books though I will say there were times I could not put it down simply because I just wanted to know what happend and finish the book.

Loved this book. Just as good as the first one. It was a tearful but great ending.
